About Us

Owner/decorator, Doreen Luethje began a career in decorating in 1995.  From beginnings as a faux finish painter and wallcovering installer, she went on to work for and interior design store in Grand Island, Nebraska and a furniture store in York, Nebraska.  All the while, she kept her home-based business, Interior Innovations, Inc. doing consulting, drapery treatment design & installation as well as selling and installing blinds and shades. 

Doreen's dream, however, had always been to open her own store and in early 2004 that dream began to become a reality.  Through the summer, renovations were made to the building at 106 East 5th Street in York, Nebraska.  After many hours of hard work, in the October of 2004, Interior Innovations, "the store" opened.

Doreen attended the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, is a Window Fashions Certified Professional at the level of Specialist and a Hunter Douglas Window Fashions Institute member at the Silver level.  Give Doreen a call and see what her 10 years of experience in helping people make their homes more beautiful can do for you!

Andrea Peters became part of the Interior Innovations/Diva's Closet team in March of 2011. After graduating from Bridgewater College in Massechusetts with a degree in art history and a minor in accounting she returned to her home town of Aurora.
Andrea graduated from Heartland High School in Henderson in 2006. Andrea serves as store manager assisting with bookeeping, facebook and web maintenance as well as ordering, store displays and excellent customer service! She is attempting to organize Doreen, which is a big task! Several have tried, none have succeeded.

Kim Tonniges has been with Interior Innovations (and now Diva's Closet) since 2007. Kim is also co-owner of her own salon, Townehouse Salon. Kim has become our floral designer over the years because of her natural ability with shape and color. She also has excellent customer service skills and does most of our store and window displays.
